Membership
In order to participate in any of our rides, you must be either a member or a friend of BWA, or have a CWA licence.
If you become a member of BWA, you will not only receive great membership benefits including Australia premium 24/7 bike crash insurance, you will also get discounts off all the Cyclo Sportif Events and be kept up to date with all the latest news.

Enter as a Team
Our rides are based on the European styled team events. Members organise themselves into teams of 4 to 9 participants, with the overall team time counting as the completed time.
A team can be made up of any ‘like’ group such as your friends, riding group, colleagues, hand cycles, mountain bikes or over 50s. The only requirements are that the equipment is consistent throughout and that you stick together.
This is NOT racing - it is about enjoying a challenge with your team mates and 'participating' as a team not 'winning'. All teams will be timed and their times are published on our website.
To register a new team, please contact us through BWA.
Enter as an Individual
If you are not part of a team then you can still participate in our events by entering as an individual. We will place you in a team for the day with riders that match your cycling ability. You can also contact one of the existing teams directly from the Team list here.
Six events are planned each year plus the opportunity to participate with your Team in the Freeway Bike Hike and City of Perth Great Bike Ride in a special BWA/Cyclo Sportif category.
Event Entry Fees
Entry for members into an event is only $50 (includes a cooked meal after the event and GST)
Entry for Friends is $65 (this includes a cooked meal after the event but NOT insurance)
For insurance we recommend you join BWA and receive Australia's premium 24/7 personal accident and public liability insurance.
BWA requires full payment upon registration for an event. BWA does not refund event fees under any circumstances, including where an event is cancelled by BWA for any reason at its discretion.
